Prayer, scud missile or smart bomb? : Carole Harmer
We need to see more prayers answered. Do you come away from your prayer time positively saying “Something was really accomplished”? You feel that prayer has been answered and wait expectantly for what was prayed to become reality. Or do you come away indifferent, feeling nothing may change. Come and join us for a practical time of learning how to stay focused in prayer. Learn the difference between scud missile and smart bomb prayers
Spiritual Gifts: Defrosting your spiritual assets - Julie Passmore
Paul tells us not to be ignorant about spiritual gifts. A challenge for each of us to recognise, develop and use our spiritual gifts effectively as we acknowledge that we all have different kinds of gifts, there are different ways to serve, and there are different workings. There’s not just one gift that fits all believers. If we are to be an effective church we all need to take our rightful position and release others into their rightful position.
Incarnation: God With Us - Jamie Fredricks
“The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” Incarnation considers how divinity and humanity combine, with eternal consequences for our understanding of both. This has profound relevance for our lives, our understanding of God and ourselves, and the communication of Jesus' way to our world.

Wed 3 Feb 2010Family Day seminar topics for February

Where, When Who?: Jo Parnell

The books of the Bible are not in Chronological order and this can be quite confusing as we study it. Where do such people as Esther, Nehemiah, Titus and Philemon fit in? What about the writings of Haggai, Jeremiah, James and Jude? What happened between the books of Malachi and Matthew?
In this session an attempt will be made to give a brief outline of Biblical History, personages and some dates helping us to have a clearer "back cloth" to God's word.

Changed into his likeness - Slow to anger: Peter Lambert

What does the Bible say about anger and how does this differ from what the world says? A look at some of the Biblical references that speak about anger. If the change from “angry” to “slow to anger” doesn't happen through simple self discipline it may be that you need “physical healing”,
“healing of emotions” or “deliverance from spiritual attacks” or all three

Gearing up for the Millennium: Ralph Heaton

A look at some of the Biblical signs of things that may happen before the return of Christ

A taster session for the Youth of Bognor Camp: Kevin and Alison Finnear

If you are an 8-13 year old, a parent of one or someone that may be thinking of coming as a young, middle or old leader or just want to know what we are about then come along and experience some of the fun of what it would be like if you decided to come on a YOB Camp holiday. A time to explore what happens on the camp, where we go and have a bit of fun as well.

Please sign up for a seminar so that we have an indication of numbers and can allocate the largest seminar to the largest room.
